How court fees are calculated: a CNY 1,000,000 property case
Filing fees for property cases are calculated cumulatively by tier. Xiaoxi Assistant lists each tier with its rate and amount, plus the half-fee and enforcement fee.

Pay & severance
Severance pay (N, N+1, 2N) and work-injury benefits
Enter the average monthly wage of the 12 months before termination plus the start and end dates. Months of severance follow Article 47 of the Labour Contract Law - one month per full year, a remainder of six months or more counted as a year and less than six months as half a month - and the result covers severance (N), pay in lieu of notice (N+1) and damages for unlawful termination (2N). Work-injury benefits follow the Regulation on Work-Related Injury Insurance and the rules of the region you choose, itemised and split between the insurance fund and the employer.

FAQ
Which standard is used for court fees?
The State Council Measures on the Payment of Litigation Costs. Property cases are charged cumulatively by tier; cases under simplified procedure pay half the filing fee.
How often is LPR data updated?
The Loan Prime Rate is published by the National Interbank Funding Center on the 20th of each month (postponed on holidays). Historical rates are maintained accordingly.
Does date calculation skip public holidays?
Yes. Working-day calculations skip weekends and public holidays, and deadlines falling on a holiday roll to the next working day.
What is the difference between N, N+1 and 2N?
N is severance pay: months of service multiplied by the monthly wage. N+1 adds one month of pay in lieu of the 30-day written notice. 2N is the statutory damages for unlawful termination, paid at twice the severance standard instead of severance.
What if the monthly wage exceeds three times the local average?
Severance is then calculated at three times the local average monthly wage of the previous year, and the years of service counted are capped at 12. Choosing a region applies the local cap automatically.
What do work-injury benefits cover?
Depending on the disability grade and whether the employment relationship ends, they may include the one-off disability grant, the disability allowance, nursing care, the one-off medical benefit and the one-off employment benefit, sick-leave wages and hospital meal allowance. Death cases add the funeral grant, dependants' pensions and the one-off death grant. Each item is listed separately and marked as paid by the insurance fund or by the employer.
How much is a grade 10 disability worth?
The one-off disability grant is seven months of the employee's own wage. When a fixed-term contract expires or the employee resigns, a one-off medical benefit and a one-off employment benefit are also payable; those two are set by each province and vary widely. Choosing a region applies the local rules.
